What are you working on in Silo 2?
Hey folks,
If you don't want to bother starting a whole new thread, post a pic here of your current WIP in 2.0. All skill levels are welcome. ![]() Last edited by Feed; 08-18-2006 at 06:51 AM. |

Hi,
I downloaded Silo 2 Beta early this morning. After playing around for a while, I painted a silly face: ![]() I know, it is rubbish, but I enjoyed painting it at 5 am I tried to export it as an obj and load into Lightwave Modeler, but I just got the base mesh. Is obj Export something that is still being worked on? Also, important question, are we aloud to post images made in Silo 2 on other forums? DaveLEWIS |

I'd have to agree. A bit buggy now and then and I can see I'll need more ram then my 1gig, but I love this program.
Now that I've tested it on this head, I'm going in for a body shot next....bwahahahaha!![]() Edit: As promised, I've started a body. I'm so loving Silo 2! Great work everyone at Nevercenter and great work to all who've posted here before me. ![]() Last edited by Teyon; 08-18-2006 at 07:48 AM. |

Haven't had much time to mess around with this, just posting this before I go to sleep (sounds like a few of you could use sleep as well :P).

you should try to select the faces on the mode left and try modify->mirroring->symmetrize selection

It's not like me to get excited over a bit of beta software, but Silo 2 has actually managed it. Not only did I do the work below in under ten minutes - never having used the software before, but I did it with a wacom tablet (which I have previously always found to be useless for 3D work - maybe that's just me though). Clearly a fine bit of design from Nevercenter!

Again I have to give praise to the nevercenter team. I didn't have to spend any time figuring out hotkeys to displacement paint, and even with the graphics card problem, I felt the most comfortable in silo then any other displacement package. The fact that you have a different set of hotkeys just for displacement is sooooo intuitive.

I am so glad to finally have the Beta. Great work Jam and Feed, it has not disapointed. Very solid Beta. Only crashed a few times for me. It is much more useful than ZB imo so far.
![]() Detailed the Base-Mesh that I'm currently working on. There is also a torso and a head, but they aren't detailed yet so this arm is all I am showing. Still needs some more work on the underside and the front, updates soon. Have to go to work now, can't wait until I have a whole day free to use Silo. |
